Rascal Bay – Brentwood & Chelmsford

Rascal Bay have 2 locations in Essex, Brentwood and Chelmsford (and a 3rd in Kent). Both 18 hole courses have the same theme with pirates, dinosaurs, volcanos and rafts where golfers have to pull themselves across a pond! The Chelmsford Rascal Bay opened in 2021.

Skull Point Adventure Golf – Clacton

Skull Point Adventure Golf is an 18 hole golf course located on Clacton Pier. The course starts inside the main building and then some of the holes are outside. It also spans 2 levels. There are many different attractions and things to do on Clacton Pier such as arcades, an indoor soft play area and fairground rides.

Putt In The Park – Colchester

Putt In The Park, a 14 hole crazy golf course, can be found in Lower Castle Park in Colchester. Colchester Castle is just a short walk from Colchester High Street with plenty of shops, restaurants and transport links (buses, trains and car parks).

Pirates Bay – Maldon

Located in Maldon Promenade Park is Pirates Bay Adventure Golf. The car park is pay and display but you can easily spend longer exploring the park. There are lots of things to do such as: the splash park, watching the boats going along the river and a large playground. Toilets and food and drink kiosks are just a short walk away.

Bear Creek Adventure Golf – Rivenhall

Bear Creek is part of Rivenhall Oaks Golf Course just outside of Witham. A fun part of the course is a raft across a pond. It works via a rope and pulley system so you have to pull yourself across! There are a couple of water obstacles, so if playing with young children, you may have to try and create a barrier to stop the balls rolling into the water.

Adventure Golf – Southend

Adventure Golf is within the grounds of Adventure Island amusement park along Southend seafront. However, it is a pay-to-play attraction and isn’t included as part of the ride wristbands. There are two 9 hole courses and golfers can choose to play either course or pay extra and do both together.

Mr Mulligan’s – Basildon

Mr Mulligan’s has crazy golf locations all over the country. The Basildon venue has two 12 hole themed courses: Arcade and Fairground. Courses can be booked individually or together, totalling 24 holes! After 8.45pm, Mr Mulligan’s Basildon is over 18s only. Before then, children are welcome to play.

BCK YRD Golf – Chelmsford

If you’re looking for a fun night out in Chelmsford, BCK YRD Golf is a great option! BCK YRD Golf is aimed at adults where you can add drinks packages onto the course price. Children are welcome until 8pm. The holes are quite compact, but they are very unique as they are made out of junk! It’s located just off the High Street where there are plenty of shops and restaurants.

Glo Crazy – Harlow

Glo Crazy is a 12 hole indoor crazy golf course with a difference! The course, balls and putters are all glow in the dark, illuminated by UV light! Glo Crazy is located in the Q Entertainment venue which also has: axe throwing, escape rooms, Quasar laser tag and more.

⛳️4 x 9 Hole Courses

Puttshack at Lakeside has four 9 hole courses jam packed full of tech. Courses are assigned to players based on group size and how busy the holes are. All scoring is done electronically, so no losing count and no cheating! The score system doesn’t use the typical ‘hit counting’ system, bonus points are awarded depending on the route taken on the hole and extra for holes in one etc. Each course also has a prize wheel where golfers can win free games, pizzas and drinks!

Caddies Crazy Golf – Southend

At Caddies indoor mini golf in Southend there are two 9 hole courses. The ‘Thicket’ course is easier with some interactive holes and the ‘Hawthorne’ course is slightly more challenging. They also serve fun cocktails and craft burgers. Caddies is just a short walk from the seafront.

Hackers – Billericay

Hackers have 2 ‘trails’, the Rosa Trail is the standard 8 hole course, or you can extend it to 16 holes but adding on the Azure Trail. The theme includes totem poles, a Mayan temple, forests and a crashed jeep. There’s even a hidden glow-in-the-dark tunnel!
